This is the first in a series of posts, over the course of which I will read the classic French novel La Peste, by Albert Camus. The story charts the devastating progress of an outbreak of the plague in an Algerian city in the 1940s. It is a book that I absolutely love and it seems appropriate to read it again during the current pandemic.
Each reading will cover approximately 10 pages in the book. This reading covers pages 11 to 22.
