Today I’ve had the pleasure to speak with my friend and French student Elaine, who is a PhD Candidate in Religious Studies at Stanford University, as well as in my opinion, an amazing philosopher and extremely talented writer. Indeed, not only does she specialise in the study of Buddhism but she also wrote a fascinating memoir inspired by the relationships, interactions and ups and downs of people just like you and me. Elaine simply never ceases to amaze and impress me with her wisdom, her genuine compassion, and her never-ending desire to better understand the very complex world we live in.
Last but not least, she is multilingual. She speaks Chinese, English, Tibetan and French (not necessarily in that order), and is an inspiration to language learners whose goal is to learn several languages. This podcast will be of great interest to anyone who wonders about life, consciousness, Buddhism and the current
state of our world, from a human point of view.
