Albert Camus – L’étranger: Reading 9

This is one of a series of posts, over the course of which I will read the classic French novel L’étranger, by Albert Camus.

My mother died today. Or maybe yesterday, I don’t know.

The Stranger, a true philosophical masterpiece by Albert Camus, invites us to reflect on the meaning of life, through the story of an apathetic and indifferent narrator whose ordinary life is turned upside down by a series of events that he finds all more absurd than the others.

This reading covers pages 140 – 156. You can listen to the first part of L’étranger here, or choose another classic French book to listen to from my archive.
