Elizabeth

In this podcast, I’ve had the privilege to speak with Elizabeth, who is absolutely passionate about language learning, and helping other people in this field.

Elizabeth is a language coach at Fluent In 3 Months, an acupuncturist, an avid reader, a dog lover, a real people person, and a keen traveller whose warmth, kindness, sense of humour, and bubbly personality are simply out of this world! She is also one of the most diligent and inspiring students I’ve had the pleasure to work with in the past few years.

Elizabeth and her dog, Rutherford

In this episode, she shares with us her experience as a French and Spanish learner – among other languages she touched on. She explains in details how she embarked on this journey, and how learning a foreign language is not just about the language itself but also about facing your fears, and being resourceful when the going gets tough. She tells us about all the creative ways she successfully overcame the hurdles that all language learners eventually face in their studies.

Last but not least, Elizabeth highlights one of the most beautiful presents and most rewarding things that comes with language learning, which is to make friends with people all over the world and discover and learn about other cultures.

This podcast will be of interest to anyone who is curious about the methodology of language learning, and very inspiring to all beginners who find the task daunting. Elizabeth has been indeed very generous in sharing her most useful tips in going quite rapidly from being able to say just a few words in her target languages, to speaking them fluently.
